Chemfocus was founded in 2007 by G. Patrick Stahly to provide consulting services to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Dr. Stahly has over 30 years of technical experience in organic chemistry, chiral chemistry, solid-state chemistry, process chemistry, analytical chemistry, materials science, and crystallography. He was the chief operating officer and scientific head of SSCI until its recent acquisition.
Dr. Stahly led the company through 12 years of extraordinary business growth, managing the organization and function of operations, client recruitment and contact, staffing, cGMP compliance, and R&D programs.
Because of its scientific depth and technical achievement under Dr. Stahly's leadership, SSCI was regarded by many in the pharmaceutical industry as the premier service organization for studies involving crystallization, characterization of solids, and other solid-state topics.
